Saul became blind. But, he later saw things like he had never seen before ...and is referred to as the Apostle Paul.

The Apostle Paul did not see things in a new light by his own imagination.  He saw them as God had him see things.  

The first thing he saw ...was the error of his ways. And he saw fit to correct them ...not by his past sight, but by the insight given him by God.

Many of us look at some very important things in life ...as we would like to see them.  Sure, we can imagine and look forward to Heaven.  But, I'm not going to become the authority on the details of that imaginative glory.  The glory of Heaven, and of Whom resides there ...is surely beyond any of our imaginations.

But, I will confidently tell you the way to Heaven.  

Are you ready?  Okay, I'm about to ...okay, here it is: Jesus is the only way!!  

I don't speak that upon my authority ...because I have none.  I only share in the knowledge of the only Authority that I know.  Our loving God did want us to be blind to this fact, but it is only something we can see with our heart.

But, there again is the rub.  It is not our heart that sees things as they really are ...it is in turning to Him, and seeing the things that He reveals to us through His Word.  We received the most wonderful gift through Jesus ...yet, we cannot know it without having also been given the testimony and written Word.  The Bible sheds light on what He wants us all to see.
